Dr. Jordan Grubbs is a Tennessee native, growing up in Greeneville, TN. She then moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology. She graduated with honors and was the top graduate for 2007. She then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she continued to excel. She again graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She was also awarded Outstanding Performance as a Student of the Science and Art of Surgery as she was identified by her professors as a student who would contribute greatly to the field of surgery. She completed her general surgery training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical school. Her colleagues identify her as technically gifted, personable, and dedicated to patient care.

Dr. Grubbs is also a contributor to the field of surgery through research. She has several publications including a publication in the proceedings of the national academy of sciences and biochemistry. She is also a committee member of the hernia task force which serves to identify best practices of hernia repair. She is currently working with University Surgeons Associates to further bariatric research.

Dr. Grubbs is recently married and lives with her husband and their puppy son. She enjoys sporting events and is so excited to be back in Knoxville as she identifies as a "Vol for life". She also enjoys running, reading, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Grubbs joins University Surgeons Associates for advanced training in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, and endoscopic intervention. We are so excited to have her back in Tennessee!
